WHY CHOOSE DUNN-EDWARDS®
Importance of Air quality
“Air quality” refers to the condition of air around us. Good air quality is essential as it can affect the health and comfort of the residents. Health effects from air pollution include irritation of the eyes, nose, and throat, headaches, dizziness, and fatigue. Indoor Air quality within buildings can be worse than outdoors due to lack of ventilation. In June 2013, Singapore had a Haze Crisis, in which PSI reached above 400 (hazardous range). This caused some of the health effects as listed and also highlighted to us the importance of having good air quality. Even without the haze crisis, we are still affected by air pollutants around us (odour or no odour). This is because some amount of air pollution is always present. Paints generally contain volatile organic compounds (VOC) that may contribute to air pollution under certain circumstances.
Our Choice, Our Future, Our Responsibility
Most of the air pollutions are caused by human activities, so let us do our part to protect the environment as well as our families, creating a better environment with better air quality for our future generations. There are many ways to stop air pollution; one of these will be the choice of a correct paint. Paints are essential for our everyday lives as we use it from wall and ceiling to furniture coverings. Therefore the choice of paint can dramatically affect our Indoor Air Quality. For this, we recommend Dunn-Edwards Paints.
So Why Choose Dunn-Edwards Paints?
At Dunn-Edwards, its mission has always been to provide the best performing paint, in an environmentally sound manner to protect the health and well being of its customers. They have been a disciplined leader in the concept of green product manufacturing long before it became popular.
From its ingredients to labeling to its LEED® Gold-certified paint manufacturing facility, below are just some of the ways Dunn-Edwards strives to continue its green legacy and provide you with eco-efficient products.

In 1983, Dunn-Edwards was the first in the industry to voluntarily replace EG with Propylene Glycol, a non-toxic alternative “generally regarded as safe” by the FDA, so that all its paints contain no EG nor any other TAC or HAP compound.
